Zhipu AI (Z.ai) is a leading Chinese AI company dedicated to pioneering the next generation of cognitive intelligence models.
Founded in 2019 as a spin-out from Tsinghua University’s Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG), we pursue the mission of “Teach machines to think like humans, and benefit humanity with reliable AI,” with the ultimate goal of achieving AGI.
We independently developed the GLM pre-training framework and have built a full-stack large-model capability spanning algorithms, pre-training, and domestic hardware adaptation. Our open-source GLM series — including early milestones such as GLM-130B and ChatGLM, and the latest flagship models — has exceeded 40 million global downloads and ranks among the most popular AI organizations on Hugging Face.
Through our models, API platform, ChatGLM assistant, AutoGLM agents, and related products, we continue to advance language, reasoning, coding, multimodal, and agentic capabilities to deliver reliable intelligence that benefits people worldwide.
